DTC stands for Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
A DTC is generated by one of the vehicles ECU'S to alert you when there is a issue with your vehicle.
Diagnostic tests can reveal problems within a vehicle's engine, transmission, exhaust system, brakes, and other major components, as well as performance issues.
These codes can be read in conjunction with the manufacturers service manual to ascertain which systems, circuits or components require to be tested to fully diagnose the fault.
